In Jerusalem, George Hollister Holy week filming for a documentary Easter Celebration at Jerusalem. He set up his camera on a platform in front of the entrance to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. The place has hardly changed.


For From the Manger to the Cross, Sidney Olcott also rotates in the holy city. The arrival of Jesus on Palm Sunday, from the Mount of Olives, accompanied by the multitude.
In the garden of Gethsemane, Hollister filming last night of Christ's prayer then in the morning the arrival of the Roman soldiers, the kiss of Judas. It also recognizes the Damascus Gate , the David Street...
The Passion of the Christ occurs naturally on the Via Dolorosa. Among the most beautiful scenes of the film, the meeting of the victim with the Virgin Mary. It takes place on the Via Dolorosa, at number 12 , between 5th and 6th stations near the Mike Store, a gift shop , run by an Arab. Nearly a century later, the site is fully identifiable. Only change since, awnings adorn the shops.
