Valentine Grant, wife of Sidney Olcott, was born on February 14, probably in 1881. It was the last few days its 134th anniversary.
I have no new information about Val, from the article posted there a year ago. Just found this picture on Margaret Herrick Library, Osacar's archives ( AMPAS ) in Los Angeles. This is a nice portrait of young Val. She must be 16 years old. The photo was taken in the photographic studio, Huszák installed 295, Ogden Avenue in Chicago. The plate is stuck on a rather thick cardboard. It is addressed to the grandmother Valley, Margaret C. Kriegg.
